Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, secured 3rd prize successful the nationalist hackathon connected ‘Human–Wildlife Coexistence: Engaging Youth for Innovative Solutions’, organised by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, and the Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun.
The TNAU squad presented an innovative solution titled ‘A community-friendly, solar-powered deterrent strategy for human–elephant struggle mitigation’, which integrates renewable energy, sensor-based technology, and section assemblage engagement to guarantee sustainable coexistence betwixt humans and elephants.
