‘Through the Constitution, Ambedkar made an effort to address systemic injustice’

In pre-Independence India, deep-rooted caste discrimination, untouchability and superstition prevailed. It was B.R. Ambedkar, a humanitarian visionary, who drafted the Constitution accepted by the full federation and laid the instauration for equality and justness for all, said Kalaburagi South MLA Allamaprabhu Patil.

He was speaking aft paying floral tributes to the main designer of the Constitution to people Dr. Ambedkar’s 135th commencement day celebrations present connected Tuesday.
