Three Chennai Corporation councillors to contest Assembly election

Three sitting councillors of Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) person been nominated by the DMK to contention the Assembly predetermination 2026. 

Councillors A. Raja Anbazhagan, of ward 141, N. Chitrarasu of ward 110 and A.P. Poornima, of ward 87, person been included connected the database of candidates announced by the enactment connected Saturday. 

N. Chitrarasu who is contesting from Anna Nagar Assembly Constituency is besides the GCC Works Committee Chairman. A.P.Poornima volition contention from Ambattur Assembly Constituency. A.Raja Anbazhagan volition contention from Thiyagaraya nagar Assembly Constituency. He is the lad of former DMK MLA J.Anbazhagan who was elected from the aforesaid constituency successful 2001.

The AIADMK campaigner successful the constituency is besides a former GCC Councillor B.Sathyanarayanan who became MLA successful 2016. He mislaid with a constrictive borderline of 137 votes to DMK’s J.Karunanidhi successful the 2021 election.
