TGCSB flags ₹30 crore cyber fraud losses among doctors; awareness meeting held in Hyderabad

The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) connected Tuesday held a high-level enactment with representatives of the aesculapian fraternity to code the increasing fig of cyber fraud cases targeting doctors crossed the State.

The gathering was led by TGCSB Director Shikha Goel on with elder officers Harshavardhan and B. Sai Sri. Officials said the nonsubjective was to fortify collaboration with healthcare professionals and heighten preventive cyber consciousness measures.

Other categories included occupation scams, sextortion, indebtedness frauds, security frauds, UPI frauds, matrimonial frauds and cryptocurrency-related offences.

The enactment was attended by 72 representatives from starring aesculapian associations crossed Telangana, including the Indian Medical Association, Telangana Speciality Hospital Association, Telangana Doctors Federation, Telangana Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association, and respective different specialty bodies representing paediatrics, cardiology, obstetrics, gynaecology, orthopaedics and dentistry.

Officials said the TGCSB and aesculapian associations person resolved to enactment jointly nether a shared inaugural focused connected cyber awareness, prevention and protection, aimed astatine safeguarding healthcare professionals from progressively blase online frauds.
