Telangana Governor’s Awards for Excellence 2025 announced; felicitation on January 26

The awardees for the Governor’s Awards for Excellence 2025 were announced connected Friday (January 23) with individuals and organisations selected crossed 4 categories, namely, Women Empowerment, Tribal Development, Rural Health and Medical Philanthropy and Corporate Volunteering.

The nominations were scrutinised by a distinguished Awards Selection Committee headed by K. Padmanabhaiah, erstwhile Union Home Secretary, Padma Bhushan awardee and Chairman of the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) Hyderabad. The different members of the assemblage included C.R. Biswal, erstwhile Special Chief Secretary to the Government; Dr Sunita Krishnan, Padma Shri awardee and societal idiosyncratic and women activist; Dr Chinnababu Sunkavalli, healthcare specialist; and Ramesh Kaza, Secretary General, Society for Cyberabad Security Council.
