Tamil Nadu Minister S. Keerthana, connected Wednesday (May 13, 2026), tendered an apology for her caller remarks astir persons with disability. In a societal media post, Ms. Keerthana said she came to cognize that immoderate of her remarks person wounded immoderate people.

She said it was not successful her volition to disrespect persons with disability. “I too, americium a girl of a disabled mother. I person that symptom too. This comes aft the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) Minister was slammed for the usage of the Tamil connection ‘Oonamutror’ that refers to the persons with disability, during 1 of her interactions with the media.
