Talks fail, CITU calls for strike in Supplyco

A commercialized national affiliated to the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) has called for a two-day onslaught shutting down Supplyco outlets from January 28 aft discussions implicit the union’s demands failed.

Demands raised by the national included outgo of wage arrears pending since 2019, assurance of minimum wages and occupation information for impermanent packing employees, rectification of irregularities successful CSR activities, and the implementation of government-mandated 10% deputation policy.

Supplyco Managing Director Jayakrishnan and CITU national leaders N.A. Mani, K.R. Baiju, Savitha, and Vaishakh attended the conciliatory meeting. Reportedly, demands raised by the national were earlier the State authorities and the Supplyco absorption could not instrumentality a telephone connected them.
