T.N. govt moves Bill to extend tenure of Special Officers in rural local bodies till January 2026

Minister for Rural Development I. Periyasamy connected Thursday introduced a Bill successful the Assembly to amend the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994, which seeks to widen the word of bureau of Special Officers administering Village Panchayats, Panchayat Union Councils, and District Panchayats successful 28 districts by different six months, up to January 5, 2026.
