The Tamil Nadu authorities nether Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay connected Thursday (May 14, 2026) announced a 2% summation successful Dearness Allowance (DA) for State authorities employees and teachers with retrospective effect from January 1, 2026. The determination would outgo the exchequer an additional ₹1,230 crore, an authoritative merchandise said.

The summation successful DA from 58% to 60% would payment astir 16 lakh State authorities employees, teachers, pensioners, and household pensioners, it said. “The Chief Minister C.
