Supreme Court stays trial in ED case against Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren

The Supreme Court connected Wednesday (February 25, 2026) stayed the proceedings successful a money laundering lawsuit registered against Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

A Bench of Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and M. Vipul Pancholi issued announcement to the Enforcement Directorate connected the plea of Mr. Soren successful which helium had sought quashing of the case.

In his plea earlier the apical court, Mr. Soren had besides challenged the repetitive summons issued to him by the ED. Mr. Soren has challenged the caller Jharkhand High Court's determination refusing to quash the lawsuit against him.
