Sasikumar, 7, of Valappakudi adjacent Thirukattupalli was bitten by a stray canine connected Thursday and has been admitted to the Thanjavur Medical College and Hospital.
According to authoritative sources, Valappakudi and his parent Pappayi were walking towards the Cauvery ghats erstwhile the canine charged astatine them. On proceeding the boy’s scream, passersby came to his rescue and brought him to the Government Hospital, Thirukattupalli, from wherever helium was shifted to the Thanjavur Medical College and Hospital, sources said.
