Stock markets rise for third day, Sensex jumps 484.53 points on gains in banking, oil shares

The 50-share NSE Nifty climbed 124.55 points oregon 0.49% to 25,709.85.

Among Sensex firms, Asian Paints jumped the astir by 4.18%. Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, ITC, Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank and Reliance Industries were besides among the gainers.

However, Infosys, HCL Tech, Eternal, Tech Mahindra and Tata Steel were among the laggards.

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) bought equities worthy ₹997.29 crore connected Thursday (October 16, 2025), according to speech data. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) besides bought stocks worthy ₹4,076.20 crore successful the erstwhile trade.
