SSC pass percentage in Maharashtra drops for third consecutive year

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) connected Friday announced the results of the 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination, with 92.02% of candidates passing. The walk percent has declined for the 3rd consecutive year.

 A full of 15,55,026 students from the State’s 9 divisional boards — Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan — had registered for the examination. Of them, 15,42,472 students appeared for the introspection and 14,20,486 passed. 

Maharashtra School Education Minister Dada Bhuse congratulated the palmy candidates, saying, “These students are the aboriginal of Maharashtra.” Addressing students who did not wide the examination, helium said, “The effect of 1 introspection cannot determine your full beingness oregon your intelligence. Girls outperform boys

Konkan part tops the State

Among students who passed the examination, 27.41% secured archetypal part with distinction, 31.26% secured archetypal division, 24.66% secured 2nd division, and 8.75% passed successful the walk category.
