Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple astatine Srisailam remained closed for astir portion of Tuesday owed to the lunar eclipse.

Temple Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao said the temple was closed from 6 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.. The temple priests performed regular greeting rituals earlier the closure. The temple doors were opened astatine 3 a.m. followed by ‘Mangala Vaidyam’, ‘Suprabhata Seva’, and greeting pujas.

‘Alankara Darshan’ of Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and Ammavaru was allowed betwixt 4.30 a.m. and 5.30 a.m. and the temple was closed astatine 6 a.m.. All ‘Arjitha Sevas’, ‘paroksha Sevas’, and ‘Kalyanotsavam’ were cancelled and annaprasadam organisation was besides suspended.

After the completion of eclipse, the temple reopened astatine 7.30 p.m. aft the purification rituals, including ‘Samprokshana’, and ‘Mahamangala Harati’ was performed. Devotees were provided darshan from 9 p.m. to 10.30 p.m..
