The Jammu and Kashmir Police connected Thursday (December 11, 2025) booked a homestay proprietor for allegedly hosting a Chinese nationalist implicit violating “mandatory ineligible requirements”.
The constabulary lodged a FIR (First Information Report) nether Sections 8 and 23(b) of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.
“It was recovered that the [homestay] absorption had accommodated a overseas nationalist without mandatory reporting. The absorption had deliberately failed to taxable Form C, which is compulsory for the registration of overseas nationals,” a constabulary spokesperson said.
The homestay, Rose Cottage, is successful Srinagar’s Humhama area. “Upon verifying the establishment’s details connected the Form-C portal nether IVFRT, it was further revealed that the said homestay/guest location was not registered with Tourism Department, contempt mandatory requirements for hosting overseas guests,” the constabulary said.
