Nine fishermen from Mayiladuthurai territory were arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy connected Saturday (January 3, 2026) greeting portion sportfishing adjacent Kodiyakkarai disconnected the Nagapattinam coast.

The fishermen, on with the seized boats, were taken to the Kankesanthurai naval basal for further inquiry, sources said.
