Six held for illegal sale of painkiller tablets in Puzhal

Six persons were arrested for amerciable possession and merchantability of painkiller tablets successful Puzhal. A full of 250 symptom alleviation tablets were seized from them.

A squad led by the Inspector of Puzhal Police Station received a tip-off, and conducted an inspection adjacent the Madhanankuppam playground connected Tuesday. Upon searching Meganathan, 19, of Puzhal, they recovered a stash of painkiller tablets connected him. The accused was arrested and a lawsuit registered.

Based connected the accusation provided by him, the constabulary arrested 5 much accused — Vijay 28, Jasmin, 29, Rahmathullah, 25, Karthik, 27, and Karthik, alias Stephen Karthik, 22 — each residents of Chennai.

Investigation revealed that Meganathan and Rahmathullah had 8 transgression cases each against them, portion Vijay and Jasmin had 1 lawsuit each, Karthik had four, and Stephen Karthik six.
