Kaduru Chinna Appanna, a adjacent adjutant and adjunct of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) erstwhile Chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy, has been summoned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) which is presently probing the Tirumala laddu ghee adulteration case.
Appanna is the 24th accused successful the lawsuit and was arrested by SIT connected October 30. He has been connected judicial remand since then.
The Nellore ACB tribunal has granted support to the SIT to instrumentality Appanna into custody for questioning, pursuing which the squad has issued summons to him to look for questioning for 5 days starting Monday.
According to the investigating agency, Appanna had colluded with the contractors tendered to proviso ghee, which led to the proviso of adulterated ghee to the TTD for mentation of the celebrated ‘Srivari Laddu Prasadam’. He was besides charged of having received ₹50 lakh arsenic kickbacks done hawala channels.
