Shops near educational institutions cannot sell tobacco products, says Chittoor CI

Chittoor Urban constabulary connected Saturday led a crackdown connected petty shops and roadside kiosks selling prohibited baccy products adjacent acquisition institutions. The drive, led by Circle-Inspector (CI) B. Nettikantaiah and supervised by Superintendent of Police (SP) Tushar Dudi, saw deployment of Bhadra teams, Rakshak personnel, and ID parties.

The teams searched petty shops crossed municipality limits, targeting Santapet High School, Thotapalyam High School, and Varadappanaidu High School zones. Several outlets were recovered to beryllium selling chewing baccy products, cigarettes, and different prohibited baccy items. Police initiated a bind-over thrust against the violators.
