“A vessel anchored disconnected the eastbound seashore of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been seized and is heading toward Iranian territorial waters,” the British subject said connected Thursday (May 14, 2026).

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) centre said it received reports that the vas was taken by unauthorised unit portion anchored 38 nautical miles (70 km) northeast of the UAE larboard of Fujairah, adjacent the Strait of Hormuz. The UKMTO did not sanction the vessel and said it is investigating.

Fujairah is an important lipid export terminal and the UAE's main larboard extracurricular of the Persian Gulf. It has been repeatedly attacked during the warfare with Iran.
