Dr. P.S. Shankar Prathisthan, successful relation with the Dakshina Kannada Sangha and Rotary Club, presented the prestigious Chiguru Chinmaya Awards to 7 emerging talents successful antithetic fields of arts and others arsenic portion of the Ugadi celebrations successful Kalaburagi connected Friday.

The Chiguru Chinmaya grant winners included sisters Shivani S. Appa, a budding Bharatanatyam dancer, Bhavani S. Appa, and Maheshwari S. Appa, some budding singers. Other winners of the Chiguru Chinmaya Award were Kumari Sanvi Sandeep, a budding exponent of good arts, Pranav Satyampet, who is an adept successful memorising and reciting the Vachanas of 12th Century Social Reformer Mahatma Basaveshwara and different modern Sharanas, Koushik N Mudabi, a young Hindustani vocalist who has won respective territory and state-level awards, and Happy Raj, an adept Judo exponent who has won respective awards successful the Judo competitions held astatine the authorities and nationalist levels. 

Another grant winner, Rakshita Konded, who has won respective awards and designation successful the Rangoli competitions astatine the authorities and nationalist level competitions, was fixed the grant successful absentia.

The Award carries a memento and a currency grant of Rs 2000 each. The grant winners were felicitated by Dr Shankar and different dignitaries, including noted sculptor Chandrasekhar Shilpi, a national-level grant victor who inaugurated the grant function. (EOM)
