Seven Maoist militia members from Chhattisgarh and a courier of Maoists connected Saturday (January 24) surrendered earlier Ramagundam Police Commissioner Ambar Kishor Jha successful Ramagundam of Peddapalli district.

According to the police, the 7 surrendered militia members hail from Gampur colony successful Bijapur territory of neighbouring Chhattisgarh. They were progressive successful Dandakaranya wood portion bordering Telangana.

Among those surrendered see 33-year-old Dharmaji Srikanth, a ‘courier’ of the outlawed outfit.

He had worked arsenic a ‘courier’ of elder Maoist leaders — Kankanala Raji Reddy, Azad and Damodar. He hails from Itikyal colony of Velgatur mandal successful Jagtial district.
