The two-day State Conference of the Senior Citizens’ Service Council drew to a adjacent connected Sunday.
P. Chandrasenan was appointed president and K.L. Sudhakaran was named wide secretary.
The recently elected secretariat includes N. Ananthakrishnan, S. Hanifa Rawther, G. Surendran Pillai, P. Vijayamma, K.K. Neelakandhakurup, C. Vamadev, G. Krishnankutty, Balan Olikal, and M.F. Francis. A 231-member State Council and a 140-member State Committee were besides elected.
As portion of the conference, a seminar connected elder citizens’ rights and laws was organized, inaugurated by erstwhile Minister Mullakkara Ratnakaran, with S. Hanifa Rawther presenting the topic.
