Members of Uttara Karnataka Agitation Committee person threatened to commencement a fast-unto-death if their demands for broad improvement of North Karnataka are not met by January 1.

They person submitted a database of demands to the State government.

Nagesh Golashetty, Nagaraj Kallukutigar and others of the committee told reporters successful Belagavi connected Tuesday that they are mounting a deadline of December 31, for the State authorities to fulfil their demands.

Their main demands see focused improvement of north-east and north-west Karnataka, declaration of Belagavi arsenic the 2nd capital, transportation of secretary-level officers to Suvarna Soudha and mounting up of a Secretariat for Kittur Karnataka development.

Mr. Golashetty complained that a bulk of the 97 legislators from North Karnataka person not participated successful the treatment related to the improvement of the region.
