Security forces connected Saturday (February 21, 2026) destroyed an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) they detected successful Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district, officials said.

The IED was kept wrong a container and placed connected the roadside astatine Gulab Sheikh Mohalla adjacent Kohestan Colony successful the district's Safapora area.

The officials said information forces cordoned disconnected the country and postulation was halted.

A weaponry disposal squad was called to the spot and the IED was destroyed without causing immoderate harm, they added.
