SEC pushes live webcasting from all polling booths during GBA polls, FD turns down proposal

The State Election Commission has written to the Karnataka authorities to unrecorded webcast from each polling stations for the upcoming Bengaluru civic election, but the Finance Department has turned down the connection and alternatively agreed to webcast from lone a constricted fig of polling booths, said G.S. Sangreshi, Karnataka State Election Commissioner.

Mr. Sangreshi, who was successful speech with The Hindu connected Tuesday (March 17), said that helium would again constitute to the authorities asking it to reconsider the determination and put for unrecorded webcasting from each polling stations. “Since we are shifting to ballot papers for this election, we request to guarantee transparency and support the integrity of the elections. In this light, webcasting from each polling stations is necessary,” helium said.
