The scrutiny of information papers submitted for the upcoming section assemblage elections successful Pathanamthitta territory was completed connected Saturday.

In the 8 artifact panchayats of the district, 397 candidates were declared eligible to contest. The organisation of qualified candidates is: Mallappally 47, Pulikeezhu 43, Koipuram 50, Elanthoor 50, Ranni 50, Konni 49, Pandalam 55, and Parakode 53. A full of 7 nominations were rejected including 3 successful Mallappally, 2 successful Konni, and 1 each successful Koipuram and Parakode.
For the grama panchayats, 5,936 information papers were recovered valid, portion 59 were rejected, leaving 3,286 candidates eligible to contention successful the section assemblage elections.
In Kottayam, meanwhile, the authorities person received 6,411 information papers. Overall, the territory recorded 11,101 sets of information papers crossed each section bodies.
In the territory panchayat, 106 candidates filed nominations, portion 569 candidates submitted papers for the artifact panchayats.
The grama panchayats saw 4,920 candidates taxable nominations and crossed the six municipal councils, 816 candidates filed their papers.
