SC stays conviction, life term of Amit Jogi in NCP leader’s murder case

The Supreme Court connected Thursday (April 23, 2026) stayed the Chhattisgarh High Court verdict which had handed down beingness imprisonment to Amit Jogi, lad of erstwhile Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, successful the 2003 execution lawsuit of NCP person Ramavatar Jaggi.

The High Court precocious convicted Jogi successful the lawsuit and directed him to surrender earlier jailhouse authorities.

On May 31, 2007, a proceedings tribunal held that the prosecution had successfully proved the charges against 28 accused.
