SC orders CBI inquiry into award of Govt contracts to to firms allegedly linked Arunachal CM’s relatives

The Supreme Court connected Monday (April 6, 2026) directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to inquire into allegations that Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu’s household was awarded contracts worthy ₹1,270 crore implicit 10 years from January 2015 to December 2025.

The Supreme Court’s verdict came successful effect to a PIL filed by NGOs Voluntary Arunachal Sena and Save Mon Region Federation. The petitioners person alleged corruption, nepotism and dispensing of unfastened tenders.
