The Supreme Court Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant connected Thursday (December 18, 2025) recommended the elevation of 5 judges arsenic the Chief Justices of High Courts.

Justice Manoj Gupta of the Allahabad High Court was projected for assignment arsenic the Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court, consequent upon the status of the incumbent Chief Justice connected January 9, 2026.

Justice Revati P. Mohit Dere of the Bombay High Court was recommended for assignment arsenic the Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court upon the transportation of the incumbent Chief Justice, Justice Soumen Sen.

The Collegium has recommended the transportation of Justice Sen arsenic the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court connected the status of the Chief Justice determination connected January 9.

Justice M.S. Sonak of the Bombay High Court was besides recommended for elevation arsenic the Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice connected the status of the incumbent connected January 8.

Justice A. Muhamed Mustaque of the Kerala High Court has been projected for the Chief Justiceship of the Sikkim High Court.

Finally, Justice Sangam Kumar Sahoo of the Orissa High Court was recommended arsenic Patna High Court Chief Justice.
