The authorities of Puducherry celebrated the 150th commencement day of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s archetypal Deputy Prime Minister, and the decease day of erstwhile Prime Minister Indira Gandhi connected Friday (October 31, 2025).
During the solemnisation of “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” (National Unity Day) to people Sardar Patel’s commencement anniversary, Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan, accompanied by Chief Minister N. Rangasamy and different leaders, flagged disconnected the “unity run” of schoolhouse and assemblage students.
The Lt. Governor received a defender of honour from assorted constabulary forces.
Later, the dignitaries took the nationalist unity pledge.
Speaker R. Selvam, Home Minister A. Namassivayam, Sai J. Saravanan Kumar, MLA, Chief Secretary Sharat Chauhan, Mohammed Ahsan Abid, Secretary, Art and Culture, A.K. Singla, IGP, R. Sathiyasundaram, DIG and others participated.
Later, the dignitaries paid tributes to the statue of erstwhile Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
