The Samagra Shiksha has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the People for Urban and Rural Education (PURE) organisation to instrumentality the PURE FEMME programme crossed astir 8,000 secondary schools, including Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs), successful Andhra Pradesh.

The MoU was signed by the Samagra Shiksha State Project Director B. Srinivasa Rao and laminitis and CEO of PURE, Shaila Talluri, connected Saturday. Around 8 lakh teen girls crossed the State are expected to payment done this initiative.

The programme aims to behaviour structured workshops and consciousness sessions for miss students from Classes 6 to 10 connected Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), health, wellbeing and idiosyncratic safety.

Mr. Rao said the inaugural reflects the State government’s committedness to holistic acquisition and sex equality nether the Samagra Shiksha framework. He said the concern with PURE was a measurement towards empowering teen girls done wellness education. It besides supports the government’s committedness to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), peculiarly bully wellness and wellbeing, prime acquisition and sex equality.

The lawsuit was attended by Mid-Day Meal Scheme Director R.S. Gangabhavani, Vocational Education Coordinator C. Srilatha, Assistant Inclusive Education Coordinator P. Vanaja and officials from the Mid-Day Meal Scheme Department.
