Sabarimala gold theft: former TDB officer sent to SIT custody

A magistrate’s tribunal successful Ranni, Pathanamthitta, sent Murari Babu, erstwhile Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) administrative officer, to the custody of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the misappropriation of the gold-plated copper panels from the Sabarimala Ayyappa temple. 

Earlier, the SIT had arrested Mr. Babu connected suspicion of having facilitated the fraud by falsely categorising the gilded panels donated to the temple by industrialist Vijay Mallya successful 1998 arsenic made of axenic copper.
