The peculiar probe squad (SIT) probing the Sabarimala golden nonaccomplishment cases connected Wednesday arrested erstwhile Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) administrative serviceman S. Sreekumar, sources said.
Mr. Sreekumar's apprehension comes hardly 2 weeks aft the Kerala High Court rejected his anticipatory bail plea.
Along with him, the anticipatory bail plea of erstwhile TDB caput S. Jayasree was besides rejected.
The tribunal had said that if the 2 accused were granted pre-arrest bail, the full probe into the nonaccomplishment of golden from Sabarimala would collapse, and effectual probe "would go meaningless".
The tribunal had besides said that some Mr. Sreekumar and Ms. Jayasree were good alert that the plates were primitively gold-clad, but signed the documents that referred to them arsenic made of copper.
