Rural librarians take out protest march demanding regularisation of services

Contract employees of agrarian libraries took retired a protestation march successful Belagavi connected Monday, demanding regularisation of services, timely salaries and amended moving conditions.

“Our services are impermanent and salaries are low. We get fixed payments of ₹12,000 per month. But this wage is paid erstwhile successful 3 months. Two of our colleagues person ended their lives owed to this uncertainty. We bash not person different facilities enjoyed by regular employees,” they said.

“If our demands are not met immediately, we volition organise a protestation successful beforehand of the Suvarna Soudha present during the wintertime session,” they said.

Vice-president of Karnataka Rural Library Employees Association Shankrayya Mathapati, K.V. Satyanarayan, Bharathi Nazare, K.C. Mohan, Shivarame Gowda, K.B. Ramanagara Pundalik Balayyagol, Sriram D. and others led the protest.
