The Karnataka authorities has yet appointed retired Karnataka High Court justice Ramachandra D. Huddar arsenic chairperson for the Admission Overseeing Committee (AOC) for nonrecreational courses.

Judge B. Manohar’s word arsenic AOC chairperson had ended successful October 2024.

According to the Karnataka Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Determination of Fee) Act, 2006, 2 committees oversee regularisation of admittance and determination of fees successful nonrecreational acquisition institutions successful the State. One is the AOC that monitors admissions to nonrecreational courses, and the different is the Fee Regulatory Committee. Both committees are single-member entities comprising retired High Court judges.

For the past 2 years, owed to the lack of a chairperson for the AOC, the Fee Regulatory Committee has been resolving different issues of students, including fees.
