Retail inflation declines to multi-year low of 0.25% in October

Retail ostentation slipped to a multi-year debased of 0.25% successful October, driven by the interaction of the GST complaint cut and subdued prices of vegetables and fruits, authorities information showed connected Wednesday (November 12, 2025).

The user terms scale (CPI) based retail ostentation was 1.44% successful September and 6.21% successful October 2024.

According to the information released by the National Statistics Office (NSO), the nutrient ostentation declined to (-) 5.02% successful October.

The diminution successful header ostentation and nutrient ostentation during October 2025 was chiefly attributed to the full month's interaction of GST complaint cut, favorable basal effect, and a driblet successful ostentation of oils and fats, vegetables, fruits, egg, footwear, cereals and products, transport and communication, the NSO said.
