Republic Day celebrated with patriotic fervour in Cuddalore, Villupuram, Kallakurichi

Honouring of state fighters, designation of the services of authorities employees and constabulary personnel, and organisation of payment assistance marked the 77^th Republic Day celebrations successful Cuddalore, Villupuram and Kallakurichi districts connected Monday (January 26, 2026).

In Cuddalore, Collector Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar unfurled the nationalist emblem astatine the Anna Stadium and took the salute on with Superintendent of Police S. Jeyakumar.

The Collector besides honoured 105 authorities employees for their commendable and meritorious services. He besides presented them with certificates of merit and appreciation. He past distributed the Chief Minister’s Police medal to 117 constabulary personnel. The Collector distributed payment assistance worthy ₹6.29 crore to 107 beneficiaries. 

Villupuram

Villupuram Collector Sheik Abdul Rahman unfurled the nationalist emblem astatine the Armed Reserve grounds here. 

Mr. Rahman received the received the defender of honour from the constabulary and distributed certificates of appreciation to 353 best-performing employees of the assorted departments.

Kallakurichi

Patriotic fervour and gaiety marked the Republic Day celebrations astatine Kallakurichi district. 

Kallakurichi Collector M.S. Prasanth unfurled the nationalist emblem during the solemnisation astatine the Government Boys Higher Secondary School. The Collector received the salute during the parade by the contingents. 

He presented appreciation certificates to 312 authorities officials too giving distant the Chief Minister’s Police Medal to 40 police personnel. Kallakurichi territory Superintendent of Police S. Aravind and elder officials participated.
