Meghalaya Chief Secretary Shakeel Ahamed offered a lukewarm reception to a radical of tribal artistes from Kerala who visited him astatine Shillong connected Friday. The squad reached Shillong aft their accomplishment successful the Northeast to execute astatine the Hornbill Festival successful Nagaland.
Among the 15-member tribal squad were 5 tribal culinary artistes, 5 tribal musicians and 5 tribal technological experts. Mr. Ahamed, a Malayali, interacted with the tribal members successful Malayalam.
The artistes are from antithetic tribal regions crossed the State. They are chosen for the Hornbill Festival by the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs. They would contiguous assorted taste programmes astatine the festival.
