Days up of the opening of IPL 2026 season, the United Spirits Limited has announced that it has entered into agreements for the merchantability of the 100% equity involvement held successful its wholly owned subsidiary Royal Challengers Sports Private Limited — which owns and operates Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

It has been sold to a consortium comprising Aditya Birla Group, The Times of India Group, Bolt Ventures, and Blackstone’s perpetual backstage equity strategy, BXPE for a full information of ₹16,600 crore.
“Upon completion of this transaction, the consortium will, done its ownership of RCSPL, get the rights to ain and run the IPL and WPL franchise,” said a release.
