Railway police nab four for alleged theft

The Ernakulam Railway constabulary connected Sunday (January 11) arrested 4 radical successful 3 cases of alleged theft of laptops and mobile phones.

Rajasekharan Cheruvallil, 55, of Kunnathunad and Martin Kuruvanthra, 56, of Kaloor, were arrested for allegedly stealing a laptop from a rider onboard the Guruvayur-Chennai Egmore Express connected Saturday (January 10). Noor Ali, 24, and Noor Islam Sheikh, 25, of Murshidabad successful West Bengal, were nabbed for allegedly stealing mobile phones from Vivek Express and Malabar Express connected Saturday.

Alleged stolen items worthy ₹2 lakh were seized from the accused, the constabulary said. A squad comprising DySP George Joseph, Inspector Balan K. and Sub Inspector E.K. Anilkumar is investigating the cases.
