Project Parivarthan raises awareness on substance abuse and mental health

Project Parivarthan, an inaugural focusing connected ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’, intelligence wellness well-being, and surface de-addiction, was organised astatine PVKK College of Engineering successful Anantapur connected Monday (March 30, 2026).

MYBharat Representative and National Youth Awardee Bisathi Bharath, eminent psychiatrist Dr. Garugu Balaji, Dr. Bandi Ramesh Babu, Principal of PVKK College, and others participated.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Bisathi Bharath highlighted the alarming emergence of cause addiction among adolescents and youth. He stated that youngsters are falling prey to alcohol, smoking, ganja, and different harmful substances, which negatively impacts their wellness and future. He besides spoke astir the expanding occupation of surface addiction, noting that excessive mobile usage leads to mediocre concentration, slumber disturbances, anxiety, and reduced societal interaction.
