As portion of the nationwide protestation programmes organised by the All India Private Sector Bank Unions Cell, a State-level dharna was held successful beforehand of the Catholic Syrian Bank caput bureau successful Thrissur connected Monday. The protestation sought contiguous enactment connected assorted issues affecting employees of backstage assemblage banks crossed the country.
Former State Agriculture Minister V.S. Sunilkumar inaugurated the dharna. The dharna raised large demands, including nationalising backstage assemblage banks; assignment of imperishable clerical and sub-staff successful backstage banks; withdrawal of punitive actions against Federal Bank employees; and implementing the long-pending wage revision for CSB Bank employees.
Ahead of the dharna, a protestation march was organised from the erstwhile caput bureau of Dhanlaxmi Bank astatine Naikkanal to the CSB Bank caput bureau connected St. Mary’s College Road, the venue of the demonstration.
