The Karnataka State Primary School Teachers’ Association, which has welcomed the government’s move, said that the authorities has reinstated the regularisation that existed earlier 2016-17. However, it has objected to making TET certificate mandatory.
Speaking to The Hindu, Chandrashekara Nuggali, president of the relation said, “We invited the government’s determination to let PST teachers with degrees to thatch classes 6 and 7, but making TET certificate mandatory is not. Most PSTs with postgraduate volition beryllium deprived from the posts due to the fact that they bash not person TET certificate.”
