Power demand record resets again in Kerala, Minister calls for judicious electricity use

Daily energy depletion and highest request records for Kerala were reset yet again connected Saturday (April 18, 2026). Daily depletion stood astatine 117.15 cardinal units (mu) and highest demand, 6,033 megawatts (MW).

The erstwhile all-time highs for Kerala were 116.11 mu and 6,013 MW respectively, recorded connected Friday (April 17).
