More than 1.2 lakh acres of paddy has been damaged owed to dense winds coupled with rains during Cyclone Montha crossed the Godavari delta successful Andhra Pradesh. Most of the paddy damaged is acceptable for harvesting and arsenic a hazard of discolouration of the grain.
