In a written reply to a question by Lok Sabha Member Damodar Agrawal, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs L. “Accordingly, each carnal records of registration of newspapers (more than 1.5 lakh) which were created nether the Press and Registration of Books (PRB) Act, 1867 (now repealed) person been digitised and made portion of Press Sewa Portal,” helium said.

“As portion of the implementation of the Act, Specified Authorities of 780 districts person been onboarded connected Press Sewa Portal. Since March 1, 2024, 11,081 applications person been processed, and certificates person been issued for applicable categories,” said the Union Minister.
