The Salem Corporation has sterilised 21,066 dogs successful the past 5 years done the animal birth power (ABC) centres.

The 2 ABC centres functioning successful the city, astatine Vaikkalpattarai (Ward 9) and Shevapet (Ward 28), facilitated sterilisation for 21,066 dogs from January 2021 to December 2025 (2021- 695 dogs, 2022- 3,169, 2023- 4,668, 2024- 10,102, 2025- 2,432).
