Addressing the media, the Minister said 18,401 seats had been filled during phase-I admissions against the full availability of 19,740 seats crossed Gurukul institutions successful the State, leaving lone 1,339 seats vacant.

The admittance notification was issued connected April 5 and online applications were accepted betwixt April 6 and May 25. A full of 45,357 applications were received from crossed Telangana, including 21,447 for MPC, 17,400 for BiPC and 6,510 for MEC, CEC and HEC groups combined.

The entranceway exam was conducted connected May 15 crossed 117 centres successful the State, with 39,052 students appearing for the test, registering an attendance of 86.09 per cent.

Officials said MPC recorded 96.63% spot occupancy with 8,156 admissions against 8,440 seats, portion BiPC registered 90% occupancy with 7,425 seats filled retired of 8,280. CEC admissions touched 98.68% occupancy and HEC recorded 98%.

He said the authorities was moving towards transforming Gurukul institutions into centres of nationalist excellence and enabling students from agrarian and disadvantaged backgrounds to vie successful national-level examinations alongside students from premier firm colleges.

Highlighting caller world achievements, the Minister said 337 students from Social Welfare institutions qualified successful JEE Main 2026, including 26 who secured supra the 90 percentile mark. He besides noted that 525 students from the institutions had qualified for JEE Advanced past year.

Parents of students selected during phase-I admissions were asked to implicit the admittance process by June 7 by submitting each required certificates. Officials besides urged students to study to colleges from June 1, erstwhile institutions are scheduled to reopen.
