OSD to Energy Minister arrested while accepting bribe

The Lokayukta constabulary officials connected Saturday arrested Jyothi Prakash, Officer connected Special Duty (OSD) to Energy Minister K. J. George, on with her operator Naveen M., a declaration employee, portion accepting a bribe of ₹50,000 for an authoritative favour.

Ms. Prakash is besides an Executive Engineer, Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (KPTCL).

According to the officials, Ms. Prakash had demanded ₹1 lakh to issue an NOC for sanctioning the energy proviso transportation to Ananthraju. Unable to wage the amount, Ananathraju approached Lokayukta constabulary and filed a complaint, based connected which a trap was laid and the duo was arrested nether the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
